getting ready ...

... for a bit of a busy month that is.

June, July and August tend to be my busiest months of the year, with Father's Day, family birthdays and anniversaries dotted throughout.
June is also the time when I tend to start planning for and thinking about Christmas. I like to source and buy anything that I will need now, so when I want to make anything festive I have the supplies to do so. I know I will need at least two extra trees this year, and I want to search for them and purchase them soon. This is the ideal time to buy such things, as you can be pretty sure things are in stock and will arrive before the festive season!! I write a tentative Christmas Present List in the summer too.

Lots to do and organise.

Gorgeous Girl celebrates her birthday this month. My baby is growing up. We normally get the gazebo out in the garden and have a [pink themed tea party], but this year the weather is even more unpredictable than ever, so the husband and I have hatched a plan to take her out for lunch, into town to buy helium balloons (her favourite thing) and for a spree in Toys R Us. She will have a fantastic time! And so will we!

In between various celebrations, we plan to finish off the decorating projects around the house. I've been teasing you for so long now (or so it feels) with little tasters and promises of showing you when things are finished. Now it is time to get the rooms finished, dressed, and photos taken. Everything is shaping up so nicely, but there is still quite a bit to do before everything can be considered finished.

I'm not planning on taking a blog break as such, but I know I will be offline and busy with real life, and thought I'd mention it here. Just in case I seem to be a bit quiet for a while. Still here, just busy.

As I have photos of completed made over rooms, I shall show them :o)
