Back in January I shared how I like to use tins as vases, in a post entitled [Alternative Use Items]. This morning, while sorting out my pantry, I found an out of date tin of black treacle. I love the [Tate & Lyle] tins, they've barely changed over the years and are truly British icons. (I can't even start to tell you how much I would love to have [This] teapot!)I gave the tin a good wash, and rather than put it in the recycling bin, I've used it as a vase. It looks rather sweet on a shelf in the kitchen.
I have one of the special 125 year anniversary tins, still unopened. Once I've used the golden syrup from that, I'll use that tin as a vase too.
