It seems to have become a bit of a tradition to make up seasonal goody bags for Gorgeous Girl to take into school. Yesterday the kitchen table looked pretty, covered with Easter decorated cellophane bags, choccy eggs and fluffy chicks.
Spring colours are so pretty. I won't lie, it can get a bit expensive putting goody bags together. It's easy to get carried away. It's just a little token to celebrate the season, so there is no need to go overboard. A few chocs in each is perfectly fine. Plus, with Easter especially, the kids will eat their bodyweight in choccy eggs anyway!
There are either 28 or 29 pupils in The Girls' class, I always round it up to 30 to make sure there will be enough for everyone. Each bag has been tied with pink curling ribbon with a fluffy chick attached.
We had a little note last week, saying that on Friday there will be an Easter bonnet competition. The day is sunny and bright, so my Gorgeous Girl wanted to go outside and play. That meant Mummy was left to decorate the bonnet! Fine by me, I've had a lovely time rifling through ribbons and flowers.
It isn't prize winning, but it's certainly my idea of an Easter bonnet! Luckily for me, Girly Girl likes it too.
