taking time for myself

Earlier on this week, I was reading my posts from last December and came across [this post]

Sage advice I thought, and made up my mind to take it.

Yesterday I worked like a crazy lady to get completely up to date with all that needed doing, so that today I could spend time like this. The shoes are off, the cosy socks are on, a stash of books and a mug of tea are by my side.Christmas is pretty much sorted, there are just a few tiny bits and pieces to finish off. School finishes today for the Christmas hols, so as of next week I will be busy with my little girl, no doubt getting over excited at the thought of Father Christmas paying a visit. I thought that today would be the perfect time for me to just sit, read through a few favourite books, see if there is anything I've left out, and enjoy a bit or peace by myself. A little time to sit back and enjoy the decorations, relax, and just have time to breathe.

It did start to snow earlier on, but it's turned back to rain again. Doesn't matter. I'm cosy and happy until it's time to venture out and bring The Girl back from school.

An extra pic. I think Dudley was a little curious about the noise of the timer on the camera, love that he's captured heading towards it to take a look!
