Elf food!

I love Pinterest. You can find so many fabulous crafty ideas to try out.

This is something that the second I saw it, I knew I'd have to try it out for myself.
You can find the original website with the 'how to' and photographs by clicking [HERE]. The clever lady shows all sorts of tiny foods. I would love to try out the tiny cakes one day too, they are so cute.

They were a little fiddly to do, but I wanted to have a trial run and I'm glad I did. The plan is to get The Girl to help make some on Christmas Eve. It will keep her busy (for a few minutes at least), and build the excitement. So this year, as well as a mince pie and a glass of something boozy for Father Christmas, and carrots for the reindeer, we'll leave out some 'elf donuts' for the little helpers. My Girly Girl is fascinated by the idea of Elves.

So simple to make, and you get to melt choccy, which is always a brilliant thing to do. Who doesn't like scoffing warm, melted choccy? Yum! You take Cheerios then dip some in choccy and hundreds & thousands. The white ones are made by shaking Cheerios in icing sugar, the brown ones are shaken in ground cinnamon.
Yesterday I took a little box and coated it in glue and glitter (how I love glue and glitter!). Once the little tiny donuts were made, they were placed inside. This is such a simple and sweet idea. I know my little girl is going to love making these and leaving them out on Christmas Eve (should probably admit that I have scoffed most of these ones!).
