just add glitter

I love my Father Christmas glass baubles. I buy them from [dunelm-mill].

The Big FC's outfit starts off red. But I don't want red. They get coated in glue, and covered in pastel coloured glitter.
So they don't stay the original colour, and I don't pay the original price for them either. I buy a pack of these each year, usually after Christmas. I can vaguely remember buying these in January this year, then I put them on top of one of the kitchen cupboards so I could redecorate them at some point during the year. Clearly, I forgot about them. When I spotted the price label, I made a note to myself to have a look again after this Christmas, to see if they go down to this price again. I found the baubles yesterday, when after deciding the kitchen wasn't festive enough, I climbed up on the work surfaces to attach fairy lights to the tops of the cupboards. That's my answer to everything, coat with glitter or add fairy lights!

What makes you think 'yes, now I know it's Christmas?'. For me, when I see stems of Brussels sprouts sitting on the bench in the garden, then I know Christmas isn't far away. I buy them this way so they will stay nice and fresh until I want to use them, and, they're a little bit cheaper on the stem too (people don't want the hassle of picking them off, but I find the whole procedure really festive).
