Saturday

How is your weekend starting? Well, I trust?

This morning, after doing the weekly shop, we scooted to Toys R Us to buy another [La La Loopsy] toy for the Gorgeous One. It is her Easter pressie. I've got to admit, I really love these dolls, they are so cute! Once home, I rushed around putting away the shopping and getting things ready for the husband to take The Girl out for a few hours.

With just Dudley the cat and myself in the house, I was able to get lots done in the way of housework, as well as a couple of tasks that have been on my list all week.
I added a few more eggs to the tree in the front garden, and instead of making an Easter tree for the windowsill in the living room, I decided to use the branches I'd prepared on the veranda of Gingerbread House. It's only teeny, but it does the job. Then I tackled a task that I've been looking forward to all week. Sorting out, cleaning, and tidying my wardrobe. It's something I can only do when I'm home alone, because my little Sweet Pea likes to 'help', which tends to get in the way just a smidge.

In the middle of the afternoon I was halfway through, and the bedroom floor looked like this. I was at the stage when I regretted starting it in the first place.

I've boxed up a ton of bags that I don't use any more. I can't face parting with them, I feel it's my duty to hang on to them for Gorgeous Girl to use when she grows up. By then they will be well on the way to being 'vintage'! I've hidden the box in the garage to free up a bit of space in the wardrobe. I've got most of my shoes in boxes, but left out the ones I use most of all. Same with the bags. I've just kept the ones that I use most. No before photo because it was in a shameful state. Just an 'after' pic.
I didn't bother to open the doors on the other side of the wardrobe. Despite the good tidy up, it still looks busy as it has piles of shoe boxes, coats, jeans and leisurewear hanging there. I thought I'd spare you that.

Now I'm ready to kick back, paint my nails and relax. Tomorrow will bring us a spot of gardening, and roast beef and yorkshire puddings for lunch.

Don't you just love the weekend?
