Nothing special happened, but I took photos of things that made me smile.
Finally planting out the runner beans. I know these pots are too small, and will change them to larger ones at the weekend, but my little plantlets desperately needed to get out and spread their roots out a bit.
Taking time to read magazines and books. I have many favourite magazines, but this one is the best of all. The word 'charming' is the perfect description.
I kept going back to one photo. I've got a feeling the kitchen chairs are going to be repainted again this year. I rather like the idea of having them in different pastel colours, rather than all the same.
This is my 'fragrance of the moment', smells like you have a Cadbury's caramel melting in the room!
I'm particularly pleased to have finally got my hands on this book. When I read on [Fifi O'Neill's] blog last year that she had a book due out, I immeditely added it to my Amazon wish list. It does not disappoint. 'Romantic Prairie Style' is also a treat to look through as many of the homes featured are owned by ladies who have blogs. Blogs I visit from time to time. This gives the book a really familiar feel, making it even more of a pleasure to read.
So even though yesterday ended with a sour note, when the internet was down and I couldn't get online, the day was good.
What's making you feel happy this week?
