An Easter tea
It was just me and the girl for Easter Day. Which meant that instead of cooking up a big special lunch, I was able to take it easy and make a very laid back Afternoon Tea. Which we ate at lunchtime!
Nothing tricky, just some egg & cress sandwiches, cucumber sandwiches, simple strawberry tartlets (using ready made cases), spread with vanilla cream, and topped with sliced strawberries, and a few choccy rice krispie cakes. Served with tea, sparkly water and orange juice.
I had fun dressing the table and parasol. Found a great way of using up lots of the bunting I've been making this year. The paper pom poms looked pretty hanging from the arms of the parasol too.
Food. Nothing special, but very pretty.
Had to have flowers.
The girls were dressed the part. Little one in her Cath K frock, and me in my yellow. Though I had to change out of it soon after, as yellow does attract the buzzy things.
Dudley was with us too.
I would like to say that this will be the last of 'in the garden' posts for a while, but I doubt it. Later this week the Fairy Tower will be delivered. I'm sure I'll show progress photos as it goes up, and then as it is decorated.
