computer says no

Hope you read the title in a 'Little Britain' manner, because computer really did say no. Feels like ages since I've been able to sit and write properly. I'll save you from every little detail, but when I wrote that my computer had gone bonkers, it was actually totally broken. We had no choice to order a new one, as our laptop is utter poo and only works if it's in a good mood. I've been able to grab a few moments online here and there, but not often and certainly not long enough to do anything of significance.

But now the new pc is here, and while not fully sorted out, it's sorted out enough to let me download photos and write a blog post.

So, how have you been? I hope life is treating everyone well.
England has been basking in sunshine for the past couple of weeks. It's been nice, but I have to admit I am missing the rain!
That said, sunshine does have its benefits.
The little teeny plantlets on the windowsills no longer look like this.. Instead they are leggy beanstalks, very nearly ready to be planted out. I'm only holding off because knowing our weather, a stealthy frost will sneak up and kill anything planted out too early. Everything will need repotting soon though.

The girl and I have kept busy. She is starting school at the end of the month, so we've been busy preparing for that. With me sewing name labels into absolutely everything she might possibly take to school. And for two mornings this week, school is where she has been. My little one oozes the confidence that I do not, and was completely unfazed by spending time in a new environment. I've been a very proud mummy.
So she's having a few treats this weekend.
First up was a trip to Toys R Us for a 'lalaloopsy' doll. Her newest obsession. Tomorrow we are taking her out for lunch to her favourite restaurant (Frankie & Benny's). She deserves a little bit of spoiling.

We've also been spending time out in the garden. The blossom on the trees is just glorious at the moment. So I moved Gorgeous Girl's little bench, and placed underneath the tree. It's such a lovely place for her to sit. I haven't been up to anything creative lately, but I'm hoping that I will have something to share with you soon. We just need to buy something first. I just hope the shop in question hasn't sold out.

Enjoy your weekend.
