This is a Valentine's pressie from the husband.
[Rediscovered Treasures] As soon as I saw the cover I knew it would be full of scrumptious photos and delicious ideas. We all use things like jam jars, teapots, buckets and jugs as vases, but this takes the idea one step further and suggest lots of alternative uses for many things. Perfect if you like to buy bits and pieces from charity shops and then have no idea what to do with them. It arrived yesterday afternoon, and I had a wonderful time reading the book last night. I kept coming back to one page in particular. Cakes in teacups.
They're baked in cases as normal in cases, then presented in the teacups. I just had to see how I could interpret this idea. I baked fairy cakes, and then realised afterwards that they would be a smidge too small to sit in a cup and be seen (cupcake size would work better than fairy cakes). So I scrunched up some greaseproof paper and popped in the bottom of each cup, then wrapped each cake in tissue paper before placing inside the cups.
I got carried away taking photos!
It would be perfect for a Christening.
I know that I won't recreate all the ideas in the book, but it has got my mind WHIRRING, I can use some ideas and change them to suit me. I love it when a book really helps you to look at things in a new light, and gives you oodles of inspiration. Couldn't resist adding these photos here today, they're so cheery.
Out in the garden, the signs of spring are getting stronger, and yes, you can see a splash of sunshine!

* almost forgot. There is a blog by the authors of the book, you can visit it [here]. I haven't translated it, but I can tell just by looking at the pictures that a lot of them are from the book. You can get a really good idea from the blog.*
