I almost forgot about my massive paper balls! I love these decorations, and wheel them out at any opportunity. If I feel the house needs a little pink fabulousness during the year, out they come. I keep meaning to buy more, but haven't done so yet. Must put it on my 'List of things to buy in 2011'.
Last year I pinned them to the living room ceiling, and I've done the same again this year too. Only I've also added a few baubles. Glass baubles. Yikes. I may well live to regret it, but it looks so pretty that I'm hoping they will stay safely attached to the ceiling.
I've been a touch under the weather today, so wasn't in the mood for baking. My Little Helper assisted in making some gingerbread dough to stash in the fridge, so we can get to work on making another gingerbread house tomorrow. Here she is, hard at work, standing on her pink piggy step so she can get a better view.
The doorbell went, and being the sort of person who should really get coal for Christmas, I opened the parcel that was delivered. Well, I knew it contained some Christmas pressies for me from the husband.No, I'm not sorry!
It's ok. Husband knows that I will always open any Christmas pressie as soon as it arrives. He's given up trying to keep them until the day. This parcel contained three very pretty little glass baubles that I'd asked for. I'm building up a collection of truly beautiful glass tree ornaments.
And something absolutely vital, a hot water bottle for my cold little tootsies, scrumptiously decorated with a vintage style.
