The table looked so pretty this year. I like to think that Rachel Ashwell would have approved. It was simple, ruffled, slightly creased, full of sparkling glassware and flowers, and - I think - rather pretty. We didn't have a white Christmas, but we certainly had a white table.
The champagne has been quaffed, the food has been eaten.
I think the sight that gave me the biggest smile, was when I looked out into the garden, and spotted a robin eating a mince pie on the lawn. Very festive!
There was a little snow clinging to the ground from last week. I hope you had a very happy Christmas :O)
