To be totally honest, I'm not a huge fan of Halloween. I have to decorate inside the house because Gorgeous Girl LOVES Halloween, and I can live with smiley pumpkins for a few weeks, so it's not a problem. At the end of August, GG started to hassle me to dig out autumn & halloween decorations from the garage. So our house is already brushed with touches of Halloween.
I thought I had to make something a bit vintage looking, just for me! ;o)
On Monday I started working on a garland. I started the way I always start a new garland, by coating small wooden letters in glitter and leaving to dry.
Then I cut and decorate the card to stick the letters too. It's fun making each one different.
I always forget that something that seems like a small task can be so time consuming. It's fiddly to do, and I have to work as and when I can during the day. With glue drying time and working in a slightly sporadic manner, a garland takes at least two - three days to make. I'm glad I've made it so early. It turned out rather prettily. So nice to have something 'pretty' Halloween.

* I buy my natural wooden letters (lower & upper case) from [Crafty Devils] :o)
