Sewing Saturday, finishing off Sunday

I've reupholstered all six chairs. I really did not expect to get it done so quickly, but we went out and bought fabric yesterday, and as Husband was home, he looked after our daughter so I could get on. I was determined to get them finished over the weekend, or I knew it would take the best part of a week to do if I worked around my little girl. It's not easy sewing when a little toddler is hurtling about!

The fabric used. I love them all. And this is how all dining room chairs look now. Much better than seeing the cat damaged sides (yes, he'd done it to every single chair. The monster)! Cheaper than buying new chairs, and far more satisfying. Don't be fooled by the tidy look of the room, I call it 'The Bosses Room', as my little girl uses this table for her books, toys and a million other things.

If you have chairs you want to freshen up or cover up, then the Cabbages & Roses 'vintage crafts' book (shown left) has a very quick and easy idea. It doesn't involve as much pattern making and sewing as you tie them to the chair. Perfect for all styles of kitchen chairs or dining room chairs.
