Another no sew project!

As my 'no sewing crafty ideas' of yesterday seemed to be quite a hit, I thought I'd show another one.

This idea I cannot take credit for. I saw it online last autumn, but for the life of me, cannot remember where I saw it. I only know it was on a craft blog of somekind. Basically you just use strips of fabric tide to wire frame to make a fabric wreath.
The idea I saw originally was much neater than mine. The lady had cut the strips to exactly the same size, and then gathered them up in the centre before using them. That's too much faff for me, so I cut strips to 'more or less' the same size, and then tied them to a very loose heart shaped wreath I'd made from florists wire. It's a great way of using up offcuts of fabric that you don't want to throw away, but are too small to do anything with. Almost all of the strips on this wreath are from my daughters baby clothing. I have it hanging on my kitchen door.

Actually, this would make a brilliant Valentine decoration. Why not try this: Take florists wire (or a metal coathanger), bend into a heart shape and secure (Don't make it too big, a small heart would work best). Then, cut strips of red, pink and pale pink one inch thick ribbon and tie randomly around the wire until the wire is completely hidden. Finish with a red or pink bow made from thicker ribbon Be warned though, it would take a lot of ribbon to do this, but if you have the time and inclination, I think it would look rather lovely.
