a life in jeans

I'm pretty much always in jeans. I like skirts and dresses, but day to day life is so much easier in jeans and ballet flats.

Skinny, boot cut and slim fit are my favourites. I get paranoid that the other mums at school look at me and think 'does she ever change her jeans?' so make sure I rotate them (at least I know they're clean), and happily wear the ones with holes on the knees, just so it's obvious that I'm wearing different ones! That sounds stupid doesn't it? I mean, as if anyone is bothered about what I'm wearing, and I'm certain no one looks at me closely enough to notice anyway.

I love the floral jeans that are flooding the shops right now. I've spent weeks dithering over them, wondering if I'm too old/lumpy/brave enough to wear them. But on Saturday I took the plunge and bought a pair from trusty old Primark.

£13!

Love the fabric. I've been watching 'America's Next Top Model' this morning, which explains the hilarious 'pretending to be a model' pose.It doesn't hurt that they are clearly a copy of the rather fabulous ones by Citizens of Humanity (approx £215).

Perfect with heels or flats, and such a nice change from the usual.
Now I just need to find the right top to go with them. And of course, get the nerve to wear them on the school run.

If you have a hankering for floral jeans this season, then can I suggest you get yourself to Primark right now and try these on. You might be surprised at style and fit (not bad at all for Primark).
