I'm not one to go into raptures over sunshiney days, but I have to admit that there was something rather lovely about having breakfast outside on a Sunday monring. Listening to the sound of the birds singing, and feeling the warmth of the sun on my back as I read the paper.
We spent a goodly amount of time in the garden.
The girl and I planted peas. The children at her school have all been given packets of Birds Eye peas to plant. I suspect it's to encourage them to eat them, but also spark an interest in gardening.
While working, a caterpillar dropped into my lap, delighting the girl, who loves to read the book 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'.
This morning it is raining again. That suits me fine, I have lots of things to be getting on with inside the house. The dining table legs will have their final coat of paint, and I have more sewing to get on with.
How was your weekend?
