Today, once I'd done a few vital - and not so vital - jobs on my 'To Do' list, I sat down and started reworking the wreath. I needed to get it done today as the rest of the week is pretty busy with school stuff. If I didn't do it today, the door might well have stayed wreathless this year.
Then I realised why I'd been putting it off. Removing all the stuff on there took bloomin' ages! The photo on the left shows how the wreath looked first thing this morning, the centre photo after I'd spent what felt like forever removing everything, and on the right, the foliage for the new wreath. Branches off the Christmas tree, the rest from the garden.
After another hour, the wreath was finished. I wanted it to look more traditional but with a girly touch. And I always have to have lights! I keep seeing this advert in magazines.
The dining room needed everything taking out of it so I could pull the rug straight, pick up pieces of jigsaw and give the floor a good hoover. While it was empty I did a quick photo shoot.
This is my version of the Barclaycard advert.
I couldn't be bothered to bring down all of my shoes, so I just used a selection. The dress I'm wearing is my wedding dress. Let me tell you, I had to SQUEEZE into it. I thought I had stopped breathing at one point. The diet starts January the 1st!
I like doing things like this. It's a bit of fun, and I have learnt something new with my camera - how to use the timer. Useful! And it's only taken me about 4 years to work it out!!!
How is your week starting?
