does it look ghostly yet?!

I really hope the house is looking ghostly, because I am heartily sick of putting up fake cobwebs!

It's getting there though. Because it's the first party my little girl has ever hosted, I'm trying to make it feel a bit special. I want fake cobweb EVERYWHERE. For two reasons. Reason 1 - it looks good and is easy to pin up. Reason 2 - it's quick to rip down again!

I've pinned cobweb on the ceiling of the hallway, kitchen, dining room and living room, as these are the rooms that will be used. The only trouble is it's very hard to get a decent photograph. I've pinned it in such a way, that the old wisp touches your head as you walk under it (unless you're 5, which is deliberate, don't want any little hands pulling at it), and if you look up, you see spiders sitting in the cobweb.

These are my best photographic efforts. You'll have to take my word for there being a lot of cobweb on the ceiling as it really doesn't show up well.

Stair bannisters. Looking from the kitchen into the hallway. I've draped fairy lights over Ruby to stop her being too scary, and because I've moved the floor lamp. For this week, she is our floor lamp!
Part of the kitchen ceiling (in truth the only photo where cobweb showed up!) The living room. I've used touches of orange in this room, but not in any other. It's the room where party games will be held, so jolly colour is welcome. The dining room. I've pushed the table to the side to give more room. I've got quite a bit of Halloween themed food, but I'm also giving myself a break and we're going to buy in some Happy Meals from McDonalds. Parties are meant to be treats, so it it seemed like a good idea. You can see how I made the door hanging cobwebs [HERE]
I've already put together goody bags for the children to take home. Tomorrow I'll decorate the front door with yet more cobweb and a few outdoor lights. Then I will add more fairy lights in the dining room and kitchen, and drape any cobweb I have left over. Oh, I've got balloons to blow up too. Still so much to do, but it is getting there.

I cannot wait to take all of this down again!
