I've been wanting to make some Cheddar muffins for the past week or so. Finally got around to doing so today. I LOVE this recipe. It's not my own, it's from my friend Sonia in France, and it is one of the best I've ever tried. Ignore the fact that they don't look so good in the photo (my cooking always looks messy), and that they don't have the smattering of poppy seeds on top like they should (couldn't find any in the supermarket), they taste divine and that's the main thing.

I am itching to get on with a couple of projects, but my fabric order still hasn't arrived. I've sent a slightly angry email this morning, complaining about their total lack of communication and asking if they have any suggestions when the order might be delivered. I understand completely that the weather in this country could be holding up deliveries, but why is it too much effort for them to send an email explaining that???!! Grr.
