Remains of the day..

I've been sitting in the dining room, sipping a glass of champagne and thinking how nice our Christmas has been.

On Christmas Eve I hung up Gorgeous Girls dress, all ready for today. After sorting out my outfit, I poured a glass of champers and lit candles, then threw my Lush bath bomb in the bath. Earlier, when the husband returned from work, we all helped to put out a snack for Father Christmas: homemade mince pies, carrots and an apple for the reindeer, and a small glass of whisky. The magazines and books are beside the bed. I enjoy MS Living, and luckily it's pretty easy to get here. During the week my husband found the 'holiday sweets' edition, and got that for me too. Such a treat. Today started off later than normal, which was also a treat. We didn't get up until almost 7 O'Clock! Believe me, that's a really late start in this house.
Presents have been a huge hit. We saved the pink trike until this afternoon, once Gorgeous Girl had been changed into a more suitable outfit. The piano is actually just a keyboard that has been 'dressed up' to look like a baby grand. It was a huge hit. No prizes for guessing who the perfume was for. The food turned out well, and pretty much on time (some kind of Christmas miracle). And the table looked so pretty, it's without doubt my favourite to date. All in all, a lovely Christmas. It's not over yet, of course, but it always surprises me how quickly Christmas sneaks up on us, and how quickly it's all over and done with for another year.

Hope you are all enjoying your day. Merry Christmas!
