The pink paper decorations arrived this morning. They're larger than I expected, but absolutely gorgeous. No idea where they will go for Christmas, but I couldn't resist hanging them up from the kitchen light to see how they looked.I am not very good at keeping things a surprise for Christmas. This morning a stash of goodies for Gorgeous Girl arrived, so I let her have the building blocks a little bit early!!!
Pretty colours, and so much fun too. They look like oversized Dolly Mixtures strewn across the floor.I've had a good purge of Gorgeous Girls toybox in the living room today. It never fails to amaze me at how much rubbish accumulates. I get in there whenever I can to have a good old sort out and declutter. I have no doubt that tiny scraps of ripped paper were little treasures to her, as were broken crayons and bashed up books and broken 'stuff', but now it's all streamlined, safe, and neat.
It won't stay like this for long, but for a few minutes I was able to relish the neatness of the living room. It's always worth taking a photo to remind myself that sometimes the house can be tidy! This afternoon I need to find time to read this. What a beautiful front cover.
I *love* this magazine. It's a fairly new find to me, I first bought it in the summer and couldn't believe that I'd never seen it before. Well, now I have a subscription to it (birthday pressie), and if you subscribe, you get a rather lovely writing set as part of the deal.
Time I was off. To all the Brits out there, have a very safe and fun [Guy Fawkes] night. Take care if you are having fireworks.
