hello!

We're nearing the end of January, and we still haven't had any snow. I think the snowdrops growing in the garden are the closest thing we're going to get to snow!
They aren't the best flowers to have in a tiny jam jar vase, but I couldn't resist doing it anyway.

I've been busy making a start on the spring cleaning. I don't know what it is about this time of year that just makes me want to turn out my cupboards, throw out the junk, give everything a good clean and sort it all out.

I need to make an absolute glut of bunting this year, and have made a start. Next week I'll scoot into town to stock up on fat quarters and tape. I love making bunting, and make it as simply as possible. You can see how I make it on [this post].
My Dad was in hospital recently, so I baked a cake for him when he was back home. I made some teeny tiny bunting to put on top of the cake. Fiddly to make, but looks so sweet on top of a cake. I forgot to take a photo of the cake once decorated, but you can see some cake bunting that I made last year [here] It adds a nice touch.

I've been working on a couple of Valentine's projects, but will talk about that another day.
