a little time to myself

On Saturday the husband took Girly Girl out, so I was left to my own devices. I rushed around tidying and hoovering the house, doing the washing and ironing (I can't relax until I know everything has been done),then I gathered some magazines, my diary, a snack and a mini bottle of Prosecco, and headed to the Fairy Tower. It was chilly, but I was toasty in a snuggly jumper (strange to be in knitwear after it being so hot and sunny). It was so lovely to sit and relax and read, write in my diary and listen to the sound of the birds singing in the trees. I had a lovely time. I miss my little rascal when she's not at home, but I cherish time to myself like this. It doesn't happen very often. I was able to continue to work on or finish off some of my projects.

I bought some luggage labels and glued on a flat rose to see how it would look as a gift tag. This was an experiment, I wasn't overly keen on the end result. Now I know I prefer the original way of using the roses, attached directly on to a present or gift bag.
The label made it too fussy for my liking, but it was good to try it out and see.

I finished the NOEL sign. I used my hot glue gun to stick the letters together.

This is where the idea came from, the Pottery Barn sign from last Christmas. I have a new project up my sleeve, one that should be quite fun to do. I just need to order a few bits for it first, which I hope to do later on this week.
