we're in the garden

I found another use for my little chalkboards. I scribbled a note on one so Gorgeous Girl and I could spend time in the garden. We were waiting for a delivery or two, which we really didn't want to miss. So I left this on the front door, and opened the side gate so we were easy to find.

This is still glowing in the sky ... .. so the little lady has been hassling me all week to put this up for her. It's April.
April in England, and we've got the paddling pool out. It's madness I tell you, utter madness.

I'm in my summer disguise when out in the garden, to try and keep the rotten sunshine off me. All summer long I look like a spy, in oversized sunglasses and various sunhats pulled down low. I sat in the shade, reading and guzzling sparkly water, while my little princess splashed in the paddling pool. My little lady spotted the plate with a slice of choccy cake, and the bowl strawberries. Just wanted to show you some of her artwork. I love her drawings, and I'm a proud mama. These are her LaLaLoopsy dolls, drawn yesterday. She really does love them.
Summer feet! Normally we'd be wearing wellies and jumping in puddles.

The air is strong with the scent of blossom and wisteria. When I took my hat off I spotted fallen blossom petals. Looked just like I'd been at a wedding and was covered in confetti. A very summery day!
