This is how it looks now.
It's the sort of project I love, because it's quick and easy to do, and has instant results.
This is how the picture frame started out. Nice, but not really my style any more. I gave it a good wipe down and clean. Then I took my trusty can of creamy~white coloured paint and gave a few coats. Once dried, I grabbed some fine sandpaper and just scuffed it up a bit in places. I didn't want it to look overly scuffed. The picture inside is a card I bought recently. I decided to finish it off with some paper flowers and a velvet ribbon. The flowers are easy to remove if I change my mind as I've simply glued them on. The paint has given the frame a whole new lease of life, and I'm rather pleased with it!While I had the paint in my hand, I cast my eye around the kitchen to see what else I could freshen up. I decided to paint the little trug that sits in the corner of my kitchen, next to the fridge. I use it to hold my paper/tin/card rubbish for recycling, then empty it into the recycling bin outside when it's full. Recycling doesn't have to be ugly.
It's so nice to do quick projects like this, as they can be done in between doing other things. The cushion giveaway will be held on Wednesday.
