The purple rose in the photo below is the reworked version from last year. I have a jar full of this style of brooch!
It's pictured amongst the bits and pieces I use to put together each brooch. The fabric rectangle is a fabric sample that I had kicking around. Today I had another flash of inspiration when looking at the fabric sample. Why not make another version of my rose brooch? So that's what I did.
I pulled away at the fibres of the fabric to give a raggedy, slightly vintage looking edge to some of the petals. I rather like this latest version, and have lots of ideas bubbling away. I need to track down a certain type of fabric online, so I can make more. My ultimate plan is to try and sell these online. I won't do that until I am 100% happy with how they look. I'm getting there, but I'm not quite there yet. I'll keep you posted!
